PHILIPPINE National Police chief General Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr. on Monday signed a memorandum of agreement with the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches aimed at further strengthening the PNP’s ties with the religious sector to help keep peace and order in the country.

The top cop said the move was part of their ongoing effort to seek the support of the faith-based religious organizations and the community in addressing criminality and corruption in line with his KASIMBAYANAN or Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan program.

PCEC national director Bishop Noel A. Pantoja signed the agreement with the PNP during the flag-raising rites at Camp Crame.

“The Memorandum of Agreement with the PCEC affirms our commitment to work with our allies in every possible way to ensure our efficient and effective service wherever and whenever we are needed,” said Gen. Azurin.

The PNP chief added that the MOA gives new avenues to share their message that “Life is Beautiful” as the PCEC has a pro-life advocacy.

Thru the said partnership, Gen. Azurin said they will be encouraging a more united action to secure our citizens and the country.
