AFTER more than seven years in hiding, one of the country’s most wanted persons was arrested in a Philippine National Police Intelligence Group (PNP-IG)-led manhunt operation in Parañaque City, officials said yesterday.

Ryan Jorge Dumalaoco, 33, who was charged with a non-bailable rape case was captured on Lopez Jaena Exttension in Irasan, Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City following an ‘intelligence-packet’ provided by the PNP-IG Counter-Intelligence Division and Regional Intelligence Unit 4-A, said a report from the PNP Directorate for Intelligence headed by Major General Westrimundo D. Obinque.

PNP-IG director, Colonel Frankie C. Candelario said officers from the Southern Police District assisted his men, the Regional Intelligence Division of the National Capital Region Police Office and the Pampanga Police Provincial Office in arresting the suspect.

Candelario said that Judge Mila Yap-Camiso of the La Carlota City Regional Trial Court Branch 63 in Negros Occidental recommended no bail for the temporary liberty of the accused on July 17, 2017.

The suspect went into hiding after learning that a warrant of arrest had been issued against him by the court. His last known residence was in Floridablanca, Pampanga.

Col. Candelario said that the accused was listed as one of the Most Wanted Persons in the country. The Department of Interior and Local Government has offered a P130,000 monetary reward for the arrest of the suspect.

“This is part of our ongoing effort to account for all most wanted persons in the country as ordered by PNP chief, General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil,” said the official.
