THREE suspected drug trafficking personalities were hauled to jail by agents of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) in separate anti-narcotics operations in the countryside, PNP-DEG director, Brigadier General Remus B. Medina said Thursday.

In a report to PNP chief, General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar, Medina said that one of the suspects identified as Roldan Campaña Jr. alias ‘Dodot’ was arrested in a buy-bust operation on Imus Road in Barangay Lorega, San Miguel, Cebu City around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Medina said members of the DEG Special Operations Unit 7, Cebu City Police Office and the local Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency(PDEA) partnered in arresting the suspect, a resident of 43 A1 Villagonzalo Street in Cebu City, who was previously arrested for drug trafficking in July 2019.

The suspect is now being held at the Cebu City Police Station 1 while the PNP-DEG took custody of the recovered pieces of drug evidence.

Medina said the suspect will be facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
