PMA class 1992 member is new Cagayan Valley Police Director

BRIGADIER General Steve B. Ludan of Philippine Military Academy ‘Tanglaw-Diwa’ Class of 1992 on Monday took over as the new Police Regional Office 2 director in Cagayan Valley region.

The erstwhile Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory director replaced newly-retired Brig. Gen. Crizaldo O. Nieves, a member of PNP Academy Class 1989 who successfully commanded the Valley Cops from July 12, 2020 until he reached his 56th birthday.

Ludan was replaced as Crime Lab director by Brig. Gen. Pascual G. Muñoz of PMA ‘Bigkis Lahi’ Class of 1990.

Brig. Gen. Ludan assured Cagayan Valley residents that he will pursue the successful programs of Nieves in line with the Intensified Cleanliness Policy of PNP chief, General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar.

He became the 4th member of PMA Class 1992 to become a Police Regional Office director since 2020. The others are Brig. Gen. Romeo M. Caramat Jr. of the PRO13 in Caraga region; Brig. Gen. Ronald O. Lee of the Cordillera Police Regional Office; and Brig. Gen. Jonnel C. Estomo of the PRO5 in Bicol region.

Ludan, a native of Tabuk, Kalinga was installed by PNP Deputy Chief for Operations, Lieutenant Gen Israel Ephraim T. Dickson during simple rites at teh PRO2 headquarters in Cmap Marcelo A. Adduru in Tuguegarao City.
