Pinay Bruce Lee joins Sports on Air
WELL-known martialnarts practitioner- turned- coach Victoria Canon will talk about the rise of women in sports in this week’s episode of “Sports on Air” via Zoom.
Canon, also known as the Pinay Bruce Lee, will share her experiences as one of the country’s leading female practitioners and stunt double for leading actresses in several blockbuster action movies.
The daughter of International Karate Organization Nakamura (IKON) president Vic Canon is also a top wushu and kickboxing instructor. She is also best remembered for action movies/series, such as Trigonal: Fight for Justice (2018), Spirits: Reawaken (2018), Beautiful Justice (2020) and Arisaka (2021).
Joining Canon in the 10:30 a.m. online sports program are Sid Castro-Tayag, managing director of Learn and Train Sports Academy, who will talk about the recent LTSA Invitational held at the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines National Training Center in Intramuros; and national sports climbing team members Mich Pinili, DRU Tobles and Mhik Tejares,who will discuss the country’s chances in the upcoming IFSC Climbing Asian Cup on November 5-6 at the Bouldering Hive in Makati.
This will be the 45th episode of “Sports On Air”, the hottest and most comprehensive sports talk show on air.
