Umabot sa 242 ang mga miyembro ng Kamara de Representantes na dumalo sa kauna-unahang mega Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na ginanap sa Eastern Visayas.

Mahigit P1.26 bilyong halaga ng serbisyo ng gobyerno ang ipinamahagi sa 253,000 benepisyaryo — ang pinakamalaking naipamigay sa serbisyo fair sa kasalukuyan.

Ikinagalak ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang pagdalo ng 241 mambabatas, na isinantabi ang pagkakaiba-iba ng partido at nagkaisa na magpakita ng suporta sa BPSF na ginanap nitong Biyernes.

“Tayo po ay sobrang natutuwa at napakaraming mambabatas ang dumalo sa ating mega Serbisyo Fair sa Eastern Visayas. Mayorya o minorya, hindi inalintana ang pagkakaiba para masaksihan kung paano ginagamit ng pamahalaan ang pondong ating inilaan para sa mamamayan,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

“Dahil iisa ang House of Representatives na ating kinabibilangan, at lahat tayo ay bumalangkas sa national budget at ating pinagdebatehan at inaprubahan ang pondong ilalaan sa pagtulong sa ating mga kababayan. At ito ang nasaksihan natin ng personal nitong katatapos lamang na Serbisyo Fair,” dagdag pa ng pinuno ng Kamara.

Nagpasalamat si Speaker Romualdez sa lahat ng mga dumalo sa mega BPSF na nagbigay ng pangunahing serbisyo fair sa Tacloban City sa Leyte, na binuksan kasabay ang mga mini-BPSF sa Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, Southern Leyte at Biliran.

Bukod sa mga kongresista, dumalo rin sa BPSF-Eastern Visayas ang ilang mga opisyal ng pamahalaan gaya nina Senador Bong Revilla, Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac, 12 gobernador, tatlong bise-gobernador, siyam na alkalde at 16 na opisyal mula sa Executive Department.

Kaya nagpapasalamat tayo sa lahat ng walang-sawang tumutulong sa atin dito sa BPSF,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

“At napakaimportante na masaksihan ito ng ating mga mambabatas, lalo na’t papasok na tayo sa budget season at pag-uusapan naming muli ang paglalaan ng pondo para sa social protection. Kita na natin ang mga mukha ng kababayan nating natutulungan sa bawat pisong inilalaan natin sa mga programa ng gobyerno,” dagdag pa niya.

Ang Kamara ay nakatakdang simulan ang mga hearing para sa P6.352 trilyon proposed 2025 national budget nitong Agosto.
