THE Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth_ has expanded itsd health-care packages, drawing cheers from the public.
PhilHealth hopes to implement the program before the end of the year to cover 10 rare diseases and mobility devices.
Mobility devices include wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, qiad canes, and crutch triceps.
An estimated 443,000 Filipinos afflicted with the 10 rare diseases will be covered under PhilHealth’s “Z-Benefits Package for Rare Diseases.”
The rates range from P99,000 to as high as P739,000, according to a PhilHealth press statement.
This comprehensive and sustainable package aims to bridge gaps in health care financing.
Likewise, the package will improve care and health outcomes for rare disease patients in this Asian nation.
“Talagang good news ito sa mga pamilyang merong mga miyembrong may rare diseases,” said a barangay health worker.
PhilHealth deserves the all-out support of the public as it expands its services to the Filipino people.
