PH Embassy in Jordan activates EMT

THE Philippine Embassy in Jordan started to activate its Emergency Management Team (EMT) as it continues to get in touch with Filipinos in areas affected by the ongoing tension in Gaza.

Philippine Ambassador to Jordan Wilfredo C. Santos, in a statement said, “We reiterate our reminder for Filipinos in Gaza to continue undertaking safety measures and take shelter in the nearest available protected area due to the increasing violence that threatens their security”.

On Saturday, the Embassy via Zoom Meeting advised the Filipino community in Gaza to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary movement due to mounting violence and criminality.

About 38 Filipinos have already requested repatriation from Gaza, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
