THE World Cup-bound Philippines is still a work in progress after beating Bosnia and Herzegovina, 3-0, in a friendly Thursday in Brezice, Slovenia.
“Another milestone for this team with our first goals and first win on European soil,” said coach Alen Stajcic.
“We toiled hard, pressed well as a group and executed some nice goals. Still require improvements in build up play and possession but we are working very hard as we progress on the road to the World Cup,” he added.
Sarina Bolden scored twice while Tara Shelton also found the back of the net for the Filipinas, who are using the European friendlies as part of their build-up for their World Cup debut next year.
The Philippines lost to Ireland, 0-1, in another friendly earlier in the week.
