PDEA, QCPD smash drug den, arrest 8
COMBINED agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Friday afternoon smashed a notorious drug den in Baesa, QC following an anti-narcotics operation which led in the arrest of eight suspects and the seizure of some P340,000 worth of shabu, PDEA chair Director General Wilkins M. Villanueva said.
Arrested during the 3 p.m. Friday raid at No. 57 Mendez Street in Bgy. Baesa were Ghandi Vinluan,39; Christopher Cristobal,45; Hadji Ciablo,33; Raymar Mano,36; Joel Aquino,42; Isagani Acosta,40; Vergel Vinluan,49; and Jeremy Vinluan,46.
All but Acosta were categorized as “drug pushers” in the PDEA-Philippine National Police list. The two Vinluans and Cristobal are residents of the raided drug drive while the others were their neighbors.
Villanueva said that recovered during the operation were a plastic packet containing some 50 grams of the so-called “poor man’s cocaine” valued at P340,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, 12 small heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu residue and a marked P1,000 bill paid by an undercover officer to one of the suspects prior to the buy-bust operation which sparked the raid.
All suspect who are being held at the PDEA lock-up facility in QC will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
