PDEA-CL seizes P3.1M imported shabu declared as bread toaster
A MALE claimant on Wednesday yielded some 458 grams of imported shabu worth at least P3,114,400 in a controlled delivery operation led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 3.
Authorities said the parcel containing the illegal substances originated from Philadelphia, United States and was sent to Adrian Lagar, whose real name is Adrian Lagarde, 31, of Bgy. Lucban, Bangcal, Makati City.
The operation, conducted by the combined elements of the PDEA – Pampanga Provincial Office, PDEA – Regional Office 3 Airport Interdiction Unit, Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Clark, PDEA – National Capital Region and the local police resulted in the arrest of Lagarte.
“The shipment arrived at the Port of Clark last July 3. The parcel was declared as a bread toaster and consigned to Lagarte,” the PDEA said.
The suspect will be charged with violation of Section 4 ( importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165.
