PDEA agents seize ‘party drugs’, arrest 3 in Parañaque

THREE men accused of involvement in the sale of so-called ‘party drugs’ in Metro Manila were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City last Sunday, PDEA chair, Director General Wilkins M. Villanueva said.

Villanueva said that the suspects he identified as Alvin dela Torre,36; Jomar Sison,30; and Pablo Ismundo,54, are now facing non- bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

According to the PDEA chief, the suspects yielded 105 pieces of encapsulated MDMA or Ecstasy, with a standard drug price of P178,500.00 as well as the marked money paid to them by an undercover officer and the mobile phones they used in making the illicit drug transaction along Quirino Avenue, Barangay San Dionisio in Parañaque City around 4:15 p.m. Sunday.

Members of the PDEA National Capital Region were assisted by operatives from the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group, the National Capital Region Police Office Regional Intelligence Division, Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit and the Parañaque City Police Station DEU during the conduct of the entrapment operation, said Villanueva.
