PHILIPPINE Christian University overwhelmed Bataan Peninsula State University, 77-58, while University of Perpetual Hell Dalta System routed Asia Institute of Maritime Studies, 89-67 to stay unbeaten in the 2nd Philippine University Basketball League (PUBL) at the TUP gym in Manila.

Jose Adrian Antonio, Jhon Lloyd Balvarin and Lionel Failon scored almost at will to power the Dolphins of former PBA player-turned-coach Biboy Simon to their second straight win in this six-team tournament organized by the Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP) in cooperation with Asia Pacific University Sports Union (ASUPU) and Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP).

Antonio scored 16 points, Balvarin added 13 points and Failon had 12 points for PCU which debuted with a 70-57 win over Mapua.

Mark Ordonez and Eduard Zeller contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively, for PCU.

Janzel Red Gatdula finished with 14 points for the Stallions, followed by Karl Jessie Constantino with 11 and Emmanuel Pizarro with 10.

BPSU dropped to 1-1.

The Altas of coach Mike Saguiguit relied on Richard Movida (13) Cyrus Nitura (12), Shawn Orgo (11),Gelo Gelsano (10), Christian Pagaran (19) to beat the Blue Sharks.

In the other game, Mapua defeated Technological University of the Philippines, 77-66, in overtime for its first win in two outings.

The Cardinals of coaches Nani Epondulan and Lito Aguilar relied on Clint Escamis, Kobe Dalisay and Cyrus Cuenco.

Geramel Abejuela fired 14 points for TUP, which remained winless in two games

Nestor Macatuno is the commissioner with Romulo Raytos, Von Calma, Jayson Zantua and Dhenvick Vasquez as technical committee members. AA
