PCG equipment para sa pagtugon sa kalamidad pinuri
PINURI ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Undersecretary for Maritime Elmer Francisco Sarmiento ang makabagong kagamitan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) para sa pagtugon sa kalamidad, sa pangunguna ni CG Admiral Artemio Abu sa National Headquarters, Manila, Huwebes,Agosto 18, 2022.
Bilang unang pagbisita sa organisasyon, bahagi ng programa ang personal na pagiinspeksyon ni Sarmiento sa mga modern equipment at assets ng PCG mula sa bago, at naglalakihan barko, air at floating assets nito na ginagamit sa mga search and rescue operations.
Bahagi din programa ang pagpapakilala sa mga PCG officers, troops, K9 units at talakayan sa pagpapalawak sa kapasidad ng PCG tungo sa pagbibigay ng kinakailangan serbisyo sambayanang Pilipino.
“The mandate of our President Ferdinand Marcos, and DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista, the transportation must be safe, convenience, in terms not only for the convenience of passengers but also shipping. Affordability, our people must be pay reasonable fees. And lastly, our Secretary always mention that we must attain global standards according to the standards which I think achievable,” diin ni Sarmiento.
Kasama sa naturang aktibidad ang mga Coast Guard Vice Admirals, Captains, Commodores, at iba pang PCG officers.
