PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is committed to improve the plight of farmers in the country. He vowed to emancipate them from poverty.

After all, farmers are the ones who feed Filipinos.

He recently distributed 1,287 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) and e-titles to 1,270 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Coron, Palawan.

He also turned over at least three farm-to-market road projects (FMRs) in the province.

The agriculture sector in Palawan is one of the key areas the administration vows to improve, along with its vibrant tourism spots, such as the Underground River in Puerto Princesa and the beautiful islands of Coron and El Nido.

The distribution of the CLOAs and e-titles is a commitment of the administration to free the beneficiaries from debts.

The President explained that the CLOAs and e-titles will be distributed to students who finished agricultural courses and to individuals who have returned to the fold of the law and chosen a peaceful path.

Aside from CLOAs and e-titles, President Marcos also inaugurated three farm-to-market roads – Busuang to Caruray in Roxas; Sitio Nalbot to Arado in Taytay; and San Nicolas to Sitio Caniogan in Barangay San Nicolas.

The farm-to-market roads will ease the burden on farmers in selling their goods.

In Western Visayas, the Chief Executive distributed Electronic Titles (E-titles) and Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) to over a thousand Agrarian Reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Western Visayas.

Over 2,643 hectares of agricultural land would be distributed to 1,932 ARBs in Iloilo, Aklan, Antique, Capiz, and Guimaras.

The land distribution is expected to improve the living conditions of farmers.

Of the 1,932 ARBs gathered during the event at Passi Arena in Iloilo, 1,725 received E-titles, while 207 received CLOAs.

The President acknowledged the warm welcome from the people of Iloilo—the “Heart of the Philippines”

He emphasized that every E-title and CLOA distributed would grant ARBs freedom from debt, assurance of their welfare, and the full capacity to plan for a better future.

He also recalled his last visit in December, where he listened to the farmers’ needs, as he affirmed that the distributed lands would be the long-term solution to their problems.

“Ang bawat titulo ang ating pinagkaloob… Ang bawat titulo ay nagbibigay ng kalayaan sa ating mga magsasaka. Kalayaan mula sa mga pagkakautang, kalayaan [na] magkaroon ng tiyak na kinabukasan para sa kanilang pamilya, at kalayaan na makapagplano para mas maunlad ang inyong mga bukas,” President Marcos pointed out.

Well done Mr. President.
