Rex Gatchalian, and other agencies led the delivery of nearly P100 million worth of aid to 11,808 beneficiaries in Davao Region, including healthcare workers, students, youths, and teachers.
Under the flagship program of President Marcos’ Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP), which was initiated by the House of Representatives led by Speaker Romualdez and DSWD as the implementing agency, House Deputy Secretary General Sofonias “Ponyong” P. Gabonada announced the payout of AKAP to various sectors in Davao Region for thousands of individuals and families with a total amount of P91.955 million.
“With the instruction of President Marcos, we will continue to deliver direct assistance to our people, especially with the good news about the inflation last month that eased to 1.9 percent from 3.3 percent in August and 4.4 percent in July,” said Speaker Romualdez.
“From the national level down to local officials, President Marcos is working very hard through unity and cooperation to deliver meaningful support and uplift the lives of the Filipino people,” said the leader of the House.
“The Marcos administration is very responsive to the needs of our people, and it is our commitment that no Filipino should feel abandoned during crises. Tingog will always work hard to ensure that aid will be delivered to those who need it most,” according to Rep. Yedda Romualdez.
For his part, Acidre said, “Tingog, being a consistent partner of the Marcos administration in providing help to all sectors, will continue to champion efforts that bring tangible support to our people. Whether it is healthcare workers, students, educators, and others, they all deserve timely assistance.”
Gabonada said the AKAP payout was held on October 2 at the Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC) New Bataan Campus, where 2,190 students received P2,000 each or a total of P4.38 million.
