PBBM PROMOTES RESPONSIBLE MEDIA VIEWING
PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s administration launched a new media campaign aimed at fostering responsible viewership among Filipinos.
The “Tara, Nood Tayo!” infomercials aims to encourage the Filipino people to consume movies, television, online, and other media content in a mindful and ethical way.
The informercial also promotes the government’s effort to realize its vision for a “Bagong pilipinas.”
A memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed on Tuesday for the production of the infomercial, based on a Facebook post by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
Signatories to the MOA were PCO Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez, Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairperson Diorella Maria Sotto-Antonio, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) director general Katherine Chloe de Castro, and Assistant Secretary Jose Marcell Canlas from the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES).
“The ‘Tara, Nood Tayo!’ infomercial seeks to endorse and encourage Filipinos to watch locally produced movies and television shows,” the PCO said.
Under the terms of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), the campaign will collaborate with various stakeholders in the media industry—television networks, film producers, digital platforms, and advocacy groups—to raise public awareness about the importance of responsible media consumption.
The infomercial will be shown in movie theaters prior to screening time and in television. It will also be upload to social media platforms, digital media, and traditional broadcast media.
