PBBM nagpasalamat sa Sweden sa suporta sa PH
PERSONAL na nagpasalamat si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. kay Sweden Ambassador Annika Thunborg dahil sa suporta ng Sweden sa bansa.
Ipinaabot ni Pangulong Marcos ang pasasalamat nang mag farewell call si Thunborg kay Pangulong Marcos sa Malakanyang.
“Thank you very much for all that you have done — bringing our two countries closer together,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
“I have to once again express our gratitude for the support that you’ve shown to the Philippines in terms of the problems, challenges that we are facing here,” dagdag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Sinabi naman ni Thunborg na naging makabuluhan ang tatlong taong pananatili niya sa Pilipinas.
Bago naitalaga sa Pilipinas, nagsilbing Ambassador si Thunborg sa Mexico at naging Swedish Permanent Mission of Sweden sa International Organizations sa Geneva.
Nagsimula ang diplomatic relations sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Sweden noong Enero 17, 1947.
Dumalo sa pagpupulong sina Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Frederick Go, at Deputy Assistant Secretary Lenna Eilleen De Dios-Sison at Director Ferdinand Flores ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Office of the European Affairs.
