Patrol vehicle falls into ravine, 4 hurt

FOUR members of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 11 were wounded when the patrol vehicle that they were riding while providing security to some officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) fell in a ravine on Friday afternoon in Davao del Sur.

Reports reaching Camp Crame showed the incident occurred at around 12:40 p.m. at MPTC, Sitio Lutangan, Barangay Kapatagan, Digos City, Davao del Sur.

Accordingly , the security escorts led by PLt. Nico Avel Querubin were on board a patrol vehicle of RMFB with body number 115 when the vehicle suddenly lost its power and fell in the ravine.

Among those wounded and taken to the hospital in Digos City were Querubin and Police Lt. Rey Felippe Armigos of Davao Occidental Provincial Police Office (PPO).

PNP-Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR) Director Maj. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia rushed to the area and checked the situation of the victims.

Sermonia also visited the victims in the hospital where they were given medical attentions.
