Pastor dies in Koronadal road crash
A CHURCH leader was killed in a motorcycle-SUV smashup in Koronadal City.
Police identified the victim as Pastor Roger Calinao, 66, of Purok Maharlika, Bgy. Saravia, Koronadal City.
The collision occurred on the national highway in Purok Crismos, in Bgy. Saravia, in the city.
Witnesses said the sports utility vehicle owned by PAG-IBIG Koronadal and driven by Angelito Zurita overtook another vehicle and collided into the motorcycle driven by Calinao.
The victim was thrown off the motorbike.
Calinao was rushed to South Cotabato Provincial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival due to severe head injuries.
Probers said the victim was on his way to Koronadal when he met his tragic death.
