AN alleged drug pusher was nabbed by Pasig Police and seized nearly P80,000 worth of illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Pasig City the other day.

In a report submitted to P/Col. Celerino Sacro Jr., the Pasig police chief, said the suspect was a resident of Villa Geronimo, Barangay Bambang, in the said city.

The suspect was nabbed by teams of Pasig Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) along Acacia Street, Bgy. Pinagbuhatan at around 2:00 a.m.

Before the operation, police received that suspect was involved in illegal drug activities in the area.

Police conducted week-long surveillance on information that she was involved in illegal drug activities and transacted with a police asset, and met along the area.

When the suspect handed the poseur buyer a sachet of shabu, other police officers swooped in to arrest her.

Confiscated from the possession and control of the suspect were one piece zip lock plastic of dried leaves/fruiting tops of marijuana, two plastics containing dried leaves/fruiting tops of marijuana with an estimated weight of more or less 632 grams, with an estimated street value of P75,840.00, a blue sando bag, and the buy-bust money.

Sacro warned drug “pushers” and “users” that the police will continue to conduct an aggressive campaign against illegal drugs as part of the anti-criminality campaign of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The suspect will be facing charges for violating Sec. 5, 11, and 26 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and is now detained at the Pasig Custodial facility.
