THE people of Pasig are demanding more than just a change in leadership of Pasig City because of the current administration’s failure to implement numerous plans, such as building housing projects, job creation, health facilities and new schools.

Pasiguenos also want accountability for infrastructure projects that were not completed, dubious awarding of numerous local projects to favored contractors and transparency.

“We want a mayor who will deliver on the promises made, and not merely because of being popular but failed to deliver the necessary needs of his constituents,” a resident said.

Majority of Pasiguenos are rooting for a new leader, in the hope that Pasig City can be steered back on course.

A city councilor said this, along with a hefty increase in fruitless, wasteful and irregular expenditures, , unfunded budgets, and the municipality’s reaching a point where at least 75 percent of its finances are being spent on salaries, severely impacting service delivery.

The people of Pasig will finally have the chance to air their voice in the coming polls.
