Pangasinan ‘rape’ suspect falls in Cuyapo

CUYAPO, Nueva Ecija – A joint manhunt operation conducted by the local police here and the San Nicolas, Pangasinan Police Stations resulted in the arrest of a 51-year-old rape suspect in this town on Thursday afternoon.

Town police head Lt. Col. Erwin V. Ferry said his men and members of the San Nicolas Police raided the suspect’s lair in Barangay Colosboa at 5:50 p.m. (February 9) and did not resist arrest after serving him an arrest warrant for two counts of rape issued by the Tayug, Pangasinan Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 52 on January 24, 2023.

The Pangasinan RTC recommended bail of P200,000 for each count of rape.

Ferry said the suspect, a resident of San Nicolas, Pangasinan, has been turned over to Corporal Jeric Meriado of the San Nicolas Police for proper disposition.
