SAN NICOLAS, Pangasinan – Local officials of the sixth district in this “vote-rich” province on Saturday vowed to give their all-out support to Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s vice-presidential bid.

Host congressional candidate and former 6th District Rep. Marlyn “Len” Agabas, thanked Duterte for visiting and assured her that she will be the “next vice president of the Philippines” during her visit to the San Nicolas Municipal Hall here.

Agabas also said that she believes Duterte will be the “best vice president of the Republic of the Philippines.”

Speaking under the pouring rain, Duterte, who consistently leads pre-election surveys, said she will push for job generation, quality education, and peace and order as top priorities in her vice-presidential bid.

She also thanked the crowd for staying and giving their time to meet and listen to her advocacies for the country.

Based on the Commission on Elections (Comelec) latest data for the May 9 polls, Pangasinan province, with Dagupan City, is the third most vote-rich province in the Philippines with 2,096,936 voters.

Also present in the event were 6th District Representative Tyrone Agabas, mayors Alicia Enriquez of San Nicolas, Carlos Lopez of Asingan, Maria Theresa Peralta of Balungao, Rosita Rafael of Natividad, Susan Casareno of Rosales, and other mayors and barangay officials of the province.
