THE annual colorful and joyous 2025 Bangkero Festival with the theme: “Maligaya Niyang Tagumpay ang Marubdob na Balakin Pagsanjan Mahal ka Namin” is set to be held on March 19-22 in Pagsanjan, Laguna.

This was shared by Pagsanjan, Laguna Mayor Cesar Areza during a press conference regarding the various programs they will present, in partnership with the Pagsanjan Tourism Office, to encourage local and national tourists to showcase the beautiful events, culture, and history of the town, which is recognized as the tourism capital of Laguna.

The holding of the Bangkero Festival is part of Pagsanjan’s pride because of its unique attractions that contribute a lot to the town’s coffers through tax revenues.

Areza likened the “bangkeros” to being one of the heroes of the town who undergo training before being deployed to transport the tourists to the Pagsanjan Falls located within the boundary of Cavinti, Laguna.

Led Veni Calcetas, admin aide III of the Tourism Department, said that the festival will feature something new such as the Dragon Boat competition.

She said that on the first day there will be a thanksgiving Mass, as well as Zumba competition.

The festival will also feature a Korean Exchange show, a performance by the Pagsanjan dance troupe, recognition of gentleman banker, fluvial parade, boat race, and beauty competitions.

Areza said that for those joining the festival, there will be a promo package of P750 for a group of local tourists who wants to be transported to the Pagsanjan Falls.

Meanwhile, actress Ara Mina and television host and senatorial candidate Willie Revillame and other surprise guests will grace the event.
