THOUSANDS of Pangasinenses showed their support for PROMDI presidential candidate Sen. Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao attended an assembly of some 3,000 pastors and their followers in Lingayen, Pangasinan.

Speaking at a prayer gathering held at the Lingayen Provincial Capitol Training Center, the People’s Champ, who is also a Christian pastor, reminded the crowd to vote for righteous leaders.

Huwag n’yong wawalain ang mga ID na ibinigay sa inyo dahil kapag ako nanalo, iisa-isahin ko kayo para sa pabahay,” he vowed while announcing he would allocate P400 billion each year in the first three years to fund housing for the poor.

“Bakit pabahay?

With this in mind, the boxing icon asked his audience to unite with him in fighting corruption: “Ipakita natin na ang taongbayan ay nagkakaisa para sa kapakanan ng sambayanan.

He highlighted how he had worked hard to help the needy by giving away at least 10 percent of his earnings even when he was just a boxer and not a politician.

Isiping mabuti, ituloy ang paglaban natin sa korapsyon,” he said teary-eyed.

Pacquiao’s meeting with the assembly of pastors in Lingayen, Pacquiao proceeded to the town of Urdaneta where he was met by massive crowds that filled the Urdaneta Cultural Center.

People also lined up the streets to show their support for Pacquiao as they motorcaded through the Poblacion area.
