Pacman1MANNY Pacquiao and Hidilyn Diaz prepared to compete against each other depending on their athletic contrasts in Alaxan FR’s Showdown of the Year, which kicked off on March 29 at the Unilab Bayanihan Center.

Pacquiao is one of the finest boxers in history, and Diaz is an Olympic and World Champion in weightlifting. The two athletes challenged each other by trying their opposing sports.

The phenomenal weightlifter Hidilyn was the first to attempt the challenge. The boxing champion dared her to strike as many punches in one minute. Pacquiao tallied almost 100 punches in the given time span despite only expecting roughly 50.

To keep the action going, Manny quickly accepted the challenge after daring Hidilyn to experience what he performs in his field of expertise.

He took advantage of the opportunity to complete a clean and jerk using an Olympic weightlifting bar. When Hidilyn finished teaching him the proper form and technique for the clean and jerk, Manny was eager to get it properly, attempting the movement multiple times.

Aside from the fun and entertaining challenge of the two athletes, they also shared sentiments about their endeavors as individuals that serve as role models in their respective fields in sport.

Pacquiao and Diaz both share the aphorism “no pain, no gain” in their quest for success. With the help of the pain relief medicine brand Alaxan FR, they hope to motivate dedicated Filipinos who persist and test their limitations to fulfill their goals.

It’s not just ideals but also a vision turned into reality when both the two athletes exerted time and effort to be of help to those in need.

After being designated “ambassador for the homeless and vulnerable” by the international organization Spring Rain Global, Pacquiao recently revealed his “Pacman Village” housing project in Saranggani. He also devotes his time to assisting new fighters, such as Mark Magsayo, who held the WBC featherweight belt in 2022. Pacquiao balances these humanitarian efforts with his training as he prepares for a fight in Japan in 2023.

Hidilyn Diaz, on the other hand, wants to promote weightlifting and motivate young aspiring athletes, particularly women, to reach their goals, especially after being chosen Athlete of the Year by the Filipino Sportswriters Association (PSA).

In their extending arduous journeys, they remain steadfast in keeping going with their companion, Alaxan FR.

Pacquiao stressed the trustworthiness of Alaxan in his own encounters, as he has been utilizing it to treat body aches from training since 2001. “Alaxan FR ang naging kaagapay ko for the past 22 years. Ngayong 44 years old na ako, masasabi kong malusog at malakas pa rin ako, at ‘di ako nangangamba kapag nakararanas ng sakit ng katawan dahil sinusunod ko ang correct dose,” he shared.

Diaz also showed her appreciation for Alaxan FR, “Kilala ang mga Pinoy bilang masisipag kaya talagang isinasabuhay ko ‘to hanggang ngayon. Kapag weightlifter ka, hindi talaga maiiwasan ‘yong sakit ng katawan. I’m sure marami rin sa atin ang nakakaranas ng ganito sa araw-araw kaya importante na mayroong trusted companion gaya ng Alaxan na tumutulong labanan ang body pain at magpatuloy sa laban.”
