Pa shot dead in front of 2 children

A 40-YEAR-OLD fish vendor on Wednesday was shot dead in front of his two children in San Juan, Batangas.

San Juan Municipal Police station chief Maj. Arlan Perez identified the victim as Adrian Anyayahan, a resident of Bgy. Lipahan, San Juan.

Anyayahan, along with his children, were walking on an unlighted hanging steel bridge connecting the San Juan public market in Bgys. Poblacion and Mabalanoy when a man armed with a gun approached them and without a word shot the victim in the chest at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

The gunman fled on foot after the attack.

Witnesses brought the victim to the nearest hospital, where Anyayahan was declared dead on arrival by attending physician, Dra. Gladys Yupio.

Authorities immediately conducted “Oplan Sita” in places around the village for possible arrest of the gunman.

Bgy. Poblacion security officer Cecilio Gabriola reported the gun attack to the police.
