He also extended his deep condolences, on behalf of the city government, to the victims’ families and vowed to give them the assistance they needed.

An initial report showed that while the couple and their son, together with the live-in partner’s elder sister were inside their house at Bgy. Their neighbor was hit by a stray bullet while standing outside the house, while the elder sister was lucky enough not to be hit by a volley of gunfire.

The live-in partner’s sister told police that one of the suspects, who was wearing a white t-shirt, black cap, and denim pants, fired from the house window while the other suspect, wearing a blue t-shirt, violet cap, and denim pants, fired his gun towards the victims while in front of their door.

In an interview over the phone, she said they had no idea about the motive behind the killing since the couple had no known enemies. “Bahay-tindahan lang naman po kami at wala talaga silang nakaka-away,” she added.

Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) led by P/Capt. Jerry Damaso recovered seven empty shells and two fired bullets for a still unknown type of firearms from the crime scene, which will be submitted to the PNP (Philippine National Police) Crime Laboratory for ballistic examination.
