P9M shabu seized by PRO3 in weeklong ops
ELEMENTS of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) under the leadership of Regional Director, Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon seized more than P9 million worth of shabu and arrested 140 drug personalities in weeklong operations.
De Leon said they conducted continuous police operations to eradicate different illegal activities especially on the campaign against illegal drugs, which is the priority program of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
In a reported submitted to de Leon, PRO 3 operatives conducted 96 police operations which resulted in the arrest of 140 drug personalities from October 8 to 14.
Confiscated during the operations were 1,422 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P9,674,292 and 30.00 grams of marijuana with an estimated value of P3,636.00.
All arrested drug personalities were properly charged in court.
On anti-illegal gambling, a total of 32 operations were conducted which resulted to 132 persons arrested and confiscation of money amounting to P37,393.
On anti-illegal logging, four operations were conducted which resulted to eight persons arrested.
De Leon again commended the police personnel for their commitment to ensure peace and order in the region.
