P69M shabu narekober sa tsuper sa N. Samar
UMAABOT sa P69 milyong halaga ng shabu ang nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Eastern Visayas Police mula sa isang driver na unang inaresto dahil sa hindi nito pagsusuot ng seat belt sa isang checkpoint sa Northern Samar.
Ayon kay Philippine National Police (PNP) Public Information Office (PIO) chief Col. Redrico Maranan, naaresto sa operasyon tsuper, nasa hustong gulang sa isang checkpoint.
Sa ulat na ipinadala ni Eastern Visayas Police Regional Director Police Brigadier Gen. Rommel Francisco D. Marbil sa Camp Crame, naaresto ang suspect dakong 1:00 ng tanghali sa isang checkpoint sa Barangay Jubasan, Allen, Northern Samar.
Minamaneho umano ng suspek ang kanyang kulay gray na Toyota Vios nang maharang ito ng mga tauhan ng Task Force Maharlika sa isang checkpoint at inimbita sa tanggapan ng Highway Patrol Group (HPG) dahil hindi ito nakasuot ng seatbelt at inimpound ang kanyang sasakyan.
Sa himpilan ng HPG, inamin ng suspek na may lamang shabu ang kanyang sasakyan kaya’t agad na siniyasat ng mga awtoridad ang sasakyan at nakuha ang 10,400 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na nagkakahalaga ng P69,000,000.
Pinuri naman ni PNP Chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr., ang mga tauhan ng PNP-HPG at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa kanilang matagumpay na operasyon.
“The successful arrest of a drug dealer is a result of combined efforts of our PDEA agents and PNP drug operatives led by PBGen Marbil. This marks another victory in our fight against illegal drugs considering [their] detrimental effects on our communities. Your dedication and hard work have once again paid off, and I would like to express my gratitude for your tireless efforts in this fight,” pahayag ni Azurin.
“The drug problem is a persistent challenge, and we must remain vigilant in our efforts to eradicate it. Let us continue to work together, utilizing all of our resources and capabilities, to make our communities safer,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
Ang suspek ay dinala sa kustodiya ng PNP para sa kaukulang disposisyon.
