P3.5M shabu seized from 2 HVTs in Navotas City

AUTHORITIES seized more than P3.5 million worth of shabu from a man and a woman, said to be high-value targets, in a buy-bust operation Wednesday evening in Navotas City.

Navotas police chief P/Col. Dexter Ollaging identified the arrested drug peddlers as Jojian Laride alias “Inday”, 41 of Rizal Avenue, Caloocan City and John Michael Esguerra, 40 of Mata St. Brgy. 108, Tondo, Manila.

Seized from the two were five zip-lock transparent plastic ice bag and two medium size transparent plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 525 grams with standard drug price of P3,570,000.00, a caliber .38 revolver loaded with five live bullets, black Suzuki motorcycle, a mobile phone, digital weighing scale and marked money consisting of three P1,000 genuine peso bill and 27 pieces of boodle money.

Navotas Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) chief P/Lt. Luis Rufo, Jr. said the suspects were arrested at around 11:15 p.m. along Naval St. Brgy. NBBS Proper where they handed a shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P30,000.00 marked money, mostly made up of boodle money.
