LOCAL oil firms on Monday announced their 6th consecutive week of collective fuel price rollback that would take effect on Tuesday.

In their separate advisories, Petron Corporation and Pilipinas Shell, along with small oil players Seaoil Philippines and Flying V, said they would reduce their gasoline pump prices by P2.10 per liter, diesel by P2.20 per liter, and kerosene by P2.55 per liter effective at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Chevron Corporation, another major oil firm, said they would be moving pump prices of their petroleum products by the same levels, much earlier at 12:01 a.m., Tuesday.

Independent oil firms PTT Philippines, Total Philippines, Phoenix Petroleum, PetroGazz, Unioil Philippines, and Jetti Oil, would impose the same price adjustments on their diesel and gasoline products effective at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, except for kerosene which they do not carry, while Clean Fuel would also cut its pump prices by the same levels at 8:01 a.m.

PTT Philippines Communication Officer Jhay Julian said this will reflect the previous week’s movements in the international market as reflected in Singapore’s posted price of MOPS (Means of Platts Singapore).
