P136K shabu seized from 5 suspects in QC

OPERATIVES of the Fairview Police Station (PS 5) arrested five drug suspects who yielded P136,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation on Sumday night in Quezon City.

The suspects were identified as Mark Prince Mel Labao, 41; Karina Chua, 30 and Marjorie Joy Cabida, 34 all residents of Sampaguita St., Nomar II, Brgy. San Bartolome, Quezon City; Marites Ramos, 3, a resident of Carlos St., Brgy. San Bartolome, Quezon City; and Nonie Villar, 51, a resident of Sta. Lucia Ave., Brgy. Sta. Lucia, Quezon City.

The police received information from a confidential informant about the illegal drug activities of the suspects.

A buy-bust operation was conducted at around 9:30 p.m. of September 11, 2021 by a drug enforcement unit of PS 5 headed by PLTCOL Joewie Lucas.

A police acted as a buyer and set a drug deal with the suspects at Diego Silang St. corner Panganiban St., Brgy. Sta. Lucia, Quezon City which resulted in their arrest.

Seized from the suspects were nine plastic sachets of suspected shabu which valued at P136,000 and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the confiscated evidence will be submitted to the QCPD Crime Laboratory Office for forensic examination and documentation.

PBGen. Yarra lauded his officers and men for their accomplishments especially in the QCPD’s relentless campaign against illegal drugs. He also thanked the residents of Quezon City who continuously provide tips and information that resulted in the arrest of suspects.
