P1.6M drugs seized, 4 nabbed in QC buy-busts
ANTI-NARCOTIC operatives of the Quezon City Police District arrested four drug suspects and confiscated P1,600,000 worth of illegal drugs in two separate buy-busts Monday night in Quezon City.
PLTCol. Joewie Lucas, Station Commander of PS 5, said Leomar Guaves, alias “Boss,” 25, listed as Regional Priority Target; Mar Diangzon, 29; and Arvin Pamintuan, 29, all residents of Project 8, Quezon City, were arrested at about 8 p.m. of November 15, 2021 along Commonwealth Ave. in front of the NCBA School in Brgy. Greater Fairview, Quezon City.
Seized from the suspects were 200 grams of shabu valued at P1,360,000, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.
In another buy-bust operation, PMaj. Wennie Ann Cale, chief of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), said Bryan Garcia, alias “Leonel,” 22, and resident of Las Piñas City, was arrested at about 8 p.m, of November 15, 2021 along Ecol St., Brgy. Commonwealth.
Seized from the suspect were two kilograms of marijuana valued at P240,000, a cellular phone used in the drug transaction, and the buy-bust money.
The suspects will be charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
