AROUND P1.3 million worth of shabu was seized by authorities from two notorious drug pushers in a buy-bust operation Thursday afternoon in Makati City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the arrested suspects as Nestor Dancalan Jr., alias ‘Tatay,’ 30, and Shallomar Enriquez, alias ‘Omar,’ 28, both residents of Bgy. Rizal, Makati.

The arrest of the suspects was the result of a drug sting operation conducted by combined forces of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and Intelligence Section of Makati police at around 3:56 in the afternoon at Lot 9, Magnolia St., Bgy. Rizal.

Operatives recovered from the suspects’ possession a total of 203 grams of shabu placed in a knot-tied plastic bag and two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets with standard drug price of P1,380,400 and the marked money consisting of two genuine P1,000 bill and 83 pieces of P1,000 boodle money.

The suspects were presented for inquest proceedings before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for selling and possession of illegal drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the recovered evidence believed to be shabu was turned over to the SPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.

“Binabati ko ang ating mga kapulisan sa pagka-aresto sa mga suspek at pagkakumpiska ng mga illegal na droga. Kahit sa panahon ng pandemya ay hindi nagpapahinga ang mga nagsusuplay ng droga kung kaya’t hinihikayat ko ang ating mga kababayan na tulungan kami sa labang ito at huwag matakot na magreport sa mga awtoridad,” Macaraeg said.
