ABOUT P1.2 million worth of suspected shabu were abandoned inside a motel in Quezon City on Tuesday night.

Operatives of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) under PMAJ Hector Ortencio reportedly received a call via QC Hotline 122 about the alleged illegal drugs inside a motel located along Timog Avenue, Brgy., South Triangle, Quezon City at 7:15 PM of July 11, 2023.

According to the report, a room attendant of the motel saw the alleged illegal drugs left between the bed and foam. She reported the incident to her superior who immediately called QCPD Hotline 122 for assistance.

DDEU operatives led by PMAJ Wennie Ann A. Cale proceeded to the area and recovered 180 grams of shabu valued at P1, 224.000. This will be turned over to DDEU’s Chemistry Section for chemical analysis.

The CCTV footage in the area is being reviewed for the possible identification of the suspect.

PBGEN Torre III lauded the alertness of DDEU responding police officers and their swift action in the incident and said, “Tunay ngang ang pulis QC ay maaasahan at mabilis ang aksyon. Isang tawag lamang ninyo kami’y agad reresponde,” he added.
