ANTI-NARCOTIC operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested two drug suspects and confiscated P840,000 worth of marijuana in a buy-bust operation on Monday morning in Novaliches, Quezon City.
Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) under PLt.Col. Von June B Nuyda identified the arrested suspects as alias Boss, 18, and alias Nonoy, 21, both residents of Brgy. Commonwealth.
A report shows that at about 2:30 a.m. of October 3, 2022, elements of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of PS 4 set a buy-bust operation against the suspects on 1015 Salvador Ave., Jordan Plains Subd., Brgy. Sta. Monica, after confidential informant reported the illegal drug peddling activities in the area.
A police poseur buyer bought P21,000 worth of marijuana from the suspects which resulted in their arrest.
Seized from the suspects were more or less 7000 grams of marijuana valued at P840,000.00, a black bag, one black dapple bag, and the buy-bust money.
The suspects will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
