P 3.5M shabu seized in Pampanga sting

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Two suspected drug peddlers on Sunday were arrested and more than P3.5 million worth of shabu were confiscated by authorities during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Pampanga.

Pampanga police director Col. Thomas IIbay said joint operatives of the PDEU Pampanga PPO, Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and Minalin SDEU conducted a buy-bust operation on Mac Arthur Highway, Brgy. Sto Domingo, Minalin, Pampanga that resulted in the arrest of Jinky de Dios, 37, listed as a High Value Individual (HVI) and Julie Ann BESA, 42, both residents of Brgy. Sta Trinidad, Angeles City, Pampanga.

Confiscated pieces of evidence from the duo were 13 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing MOL 515 grams with an estimated DDB value of P3,502,000.

Charges for violation of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied for filing in court against the suspects.

“We are relentless in our campaign against illegal drugs and we will keep on conducting anti-drug operations to stop its proliferation, may this serve as a warning to those who are still involved in illegal drug trade and illegal activities,” said PRO 3 director Valeriano de Leon.
