P.2M shabu seized from 6 peddlers in Malabon

AUTHORITIES seized almost P.2 million worth of shabu from six drug peddlers who were arrested in separate buy-bust operation Sunday evening and Monday before dawn in Malabon City.

Malabon police chief P/Col. Albert Barot said Jose Cesar Formosa, 46, of Nuestra Señora Subdivision Brgy. Panghulo, Agnes Yamamoto, 40 of Brgy. 22, Caloocan City and Roy Marquez, 43 of Brgy. Tugatog, Malabon City were arrested at around 2 a.m. Monday along P. Concepcion St. Brgy. Tugatog.

The suspects were collared by operatives of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/ Lt. Alexander Dela Cruz after they conspired in selling P10,000 worth of shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

More than 34 grams of shabu, including the subject of buy-bust with standard drug price of P231,200 were seized from the suspects, along with the marked money consisting of one genuine P1,000 bill and nine pieces of boodle money.

Earlier at around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, joint operatives of SDEU and Station Intelligence Section (SIS) led by P/Lt. Zoilo Arquillo arrested two leaders of Pontillas Criminal Gang identified as Emiliano Pontillas, 44, his younger brother Meliton, 42 and Roda Pelo, 38, all residents of Brgy. Potrero in a drug sting operation at the corner of Gov. Pascual Avenue and Marcelo St., Brgy. Potrero.

Col. Barot said his men confiscated from the suspects a total of 34 grams of shabu worth P231,000.00, P5,000 marked money consisting of one genuine P1,000 peso bill and four pieces of boodle money and caliber .38 revolver with six live ammunition on its chamber.

Charges for selling and possession of illegal drugs under R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act will be filed against the six suspects while an additional case for violation of R.A. 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed against Emiliano Pontillas.
