COMBINED agents of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Sunday arrested a 34-year-old “high-value target” in Central Visayas after she sold over P2 million worth of shabu to an undercover officer in Cebu City, PNP chief, General Dionardo B. Carlos said yesterday.

Suspect Kimberly Cabahug is now facing a non-bailable case for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said the PNP chief citing a report from the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) headed by Brigadier Gen. Roque Edgardo Vega.

According to the top cop, members of the PNP-Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) Special Operations Unit 7 under Brig. Gen. Randy Q. Peralta, the Cebu City Police Station 3, and the PDEA Central Visayas under Director General Wilkins M. Villaneuva arrested the suspect during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Tejero on Labor Day.

“This anti-illegal drug operation is a testament to our relentless effort to go after those responsible for the proliferation of shabu and other illegal substances,” Gen. Carlos said as he congratulated the PNP-DEG and the PRO7 for their latest successful anti-narcotics operation made in partnership with the PDEA.
