A 45-YEAR-OLD woman listed as a high-value individual (HVI) yielded more than P10 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation Thursday morning in Caloocan City.

Caloocan Police Chief P/Col. Samuel Mina said the suspect was arrested by joint operatives of Caloocan Police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and Regional Mobile Force Battalion of the National Capital Region Police Office (RMFB-NCRPO) at around 8:00 a.m. inside her residence at Phase 12, Barangay 188 Tala.

In his report to Northern Police District (NPD) Director P/BGen. Ulysses Cruz, Col. Mina said it took more than a week of surveillance and monitoring conducted by the DEU before they could close a deal of P140,000 worth of shabu with the suspect.

When the suspect received the marked money from a poseur buyer in exchange for a small plastic bag of shabu, she was immediately arrested.

Col. Mina said aside from the marked money, policemen seized more or less 1,600 grams of shabu valued at P19,880,000 from the suspect.

Since a large number of drugs were confiscated from the suspect, police will continue to investigate to determine if she was a member of a “big-time” drug syndicate.
