ONE of Philippines’ leading airlines Cebu Pacific carried a shipment of another batch of 1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses from Beijing to Manila today.

“We are grateful for the assistance rendered by Cebu Pacific and other carriers for ensuring that these life-saving vaccines reach our country safely. Following yesterday’s shipment of 1.5 million doses, this indicates progress in our vaccination rollout,” said vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr., chief implementer of the National Task Force Against COVID-19.

All these vaccines were kept in temperature-specific refrigerated containers to maintain potency and efficacy up until arrival at the designated stations.

“We are one with the government’s pandemic recovery efforts,” said Alex Reyes, chief strategy Officer at Cebu Pacific. “We are readily available to transport these vaccines from abroad and across our domestic network.”

CEB has also delivered around 500,000 Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Gamaleya Sputnik V and Janssen vaccine doses to various provinces from Manila.

CEB has carried over 14 million COVID-19 vaccine doses from China to Manila, and over 4 million doses to 21 provinces to date.
