Or. Mindoro Youth Center fulfillment of long-held dream
CALAPAN, Oriental Mindoro – Through good communication and good cooperation with the current administration, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte through Senator Bong Go provided the Oriental Mindoro provincial government with P130 million funding to continue the construction of the Youth Center located in Bgy. Sta. Isabel, Calapan City.
The Youth Center is a project long planned as a gift by Governor Bonz Dolor to the youth when he was just a Sanggunian Kabataan (SK) President.
Although this project has been on hold for a long time, he assured that it will be one of the priorities under his administration as a Governor of the province.
On his return visit on Thursday, March 3, the governor could not hide the joy he felt because the realization of this dream that is specifically reserved for the young people of Mindoreño is about to end.
The Youth Center consists of 2 large buildings.
The first is the main building where there are sports facilities and offices for youth, riders club, brotherhood center, and more.
The second one is the training center where there are 4 training/conference halls, four dormitories, and a youth or IT (Information Technology) library.
“Everything I do is for the future of the Mindoreño Youth, I want before the end of my term I will fulfill all the commitments and dreams for our people. And this [Youth Center], is one of my dreams 25 years ago… will become an absolute reality,” said Dolor.
