Or. Mindoro to boost tourism, build rider’s academy

ORIENTAL MINDORO – “He believes in our vision in promoting the Philippines, so I and my colleagues are very grateful to Gov. Bonz for his warm welcome to us here in Oriental Mindoro.”

This was the message of Adventure Team Philippines Inc. (ATPI) Chairman Francis Rivera to Governor Bonz Dolor after the father of the province warmly welcomed the group, held at the Oriental Mindoro Heritage Museum (OMHM).

ATPI is an organization made up of various riders from different parts of the country that aims to introduce or promote beautiful destinations whether inside or outside the country.

In this regard, as there is a strong desire to revive and strengthen the tourism sector in the province after being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov. Bonz to liaise and collaborate with various organizations and agencies with great potential to further promote and introduce the province’s tourism throughout the country.

The governor believes that tourism is one of the keys to further boosting the economic flow in the province. Through this, the province will have more overall development.

As one of the long-time supporters and believers in the ability of riders in the province, the governor happily shared with the group his plan to build the “Oriental Mindoro Rider’s Academy” which he said will surely be able to produce quality riders in the streets and will assist in enforcing existing street laws.

As a show of great support for the group’s aspirations, the governor was awarded the honorary membership of the ATPI.

Eventually, the group toured the entirety of OMHM before heading to Puerto Galera town.

Among those who received the guests were Fiscal Humilito Dolor, Ms. Hiyas Dolor, Executive Assistant Joey Dalupan, Chief of Staff Nette Dalupan, and Provincial Tourism Officer Dhon Stepherson Calda.
