OP budget breezes thru House appropriation panel
IN just 15 minutes, the proposed budget of the Office of the President for 2025 was easily terminated by the House committee on appropriations.
Majority of the members voted in favor of approving the budget without scrutinizing it out of respect to a co-equal branch – the Executive.
Makabayan bloc solons tried to object the termination, raised by Abra Rep. Ching Bernos.
For 2025, the Office of the President is proposing a budget of P10.506 billion.
The proposed budget is lower by 1.88 percent from this year’s budget.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and Deputy Executive Secretary for Finance and Administration Amante Liberato presented to the House the breakdown of the proposed budget.
