A MOTORCYCLE-riding suspect shot and robbed a female employee of the Office of the Ombudsman (OMB) in Quezon City on Tuesday morning.

The 37-year-old injured victim was an administrative aide at OMB.

A report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD-CIDU) showed that the victim was walking at the corner of Quezon Avenue and Cordillera Street in Barangay Doña Josefa when she was attacked at around 8:20 a.m., January 31, 2023.

Witnesses said a man on a motorcycle appeared and tried to grab the victim’s bag, but she resisted.

The suspect, who was reportedly clad in a black jacket, blue jeans, and a black helmet, pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in her chest.

A rescue team from Montalban in Rizal, who was passing the area on board an ambulance, brought Paguirigan to the Capitol Medical Center, where she is in stable condition.

Probers recovered two bullet casings and a deformed bullet from the shooting scene.

Police have launched a manhunt against the robber, who sped off in an unknown direction.
