Old feud ends in murder in Malabon
A LONG-STANDING feud between two men living in adjoining rooms ended up in the murder of one following their heated altercation Monday before dawn in Malabon City.
Ramil Sola, 38, helper, and resident of Block 50, Lot 13, Phase 3, Area 2 Maya-Maya St.Brgy. Longos died on the spot from a stab wound in the neck while the suspect, identified as Eric Montillano, 38, tube-ice delivery boy, escaped on foot and is now the subject of massive manhunt operation by authorities.
Malabon police chief P/Col. Albert Barot said the victim came home at around 3:30 a.m. and forcibly opened the main door of the house creating a loud noise that caused Montillano, who was sleeping in an adjacent room, to wake up.
The suspect confronted the victim that led to their heated altercation which prompted witness Maricel Escoto, 39, to intervene and pacify the two.
Sola decided to leave the house but the suspect, armed with a pointed metal object followed him and stabbed him once in the neck on Maya-Maya Street, killing him instantly.
Escoto told police that the victim and the suspect had a long-standing feud.
