Oil firms make slight price cuts

BIG and small oil companies implemented another uniformed mixed price adjustments on their petroleum products effective today.

Chevron Philippines announced an increase of prices of its gasoline products by P0.90 centavos per liter, and kerosene by P1.35 per liter while a meager price cut of its diesel products by P0.30 per liter at 12:01 a.m..

Two other major oil companies, Petron Philippines and Pilipinas Shell, along with Flying V and Seaoil Philippines, a small oil firm, also announced the same level of price adjustments on their petroleum products which took effect at 6 a.m.

Independent oil firms PTT Philippines, Total Philippines, Phoenix Petroleum, Petro Gazz, Unioil Philippines and Jetti Oil also announced on Monday an increase of their gasoline products by P0.90 centavos per liter and decrease of diesel products by P0.30 centavos per liter effective at 6 a.m., Tuesday while Clean Fuel will implement the same price adjustments at 4:01 p.m.

Most of the local independent oil companies do not sell kerosene products.

PTT Communication Officer Jhay Julian said the mixed price adjustments on fuel products reflects movements in the international oil market.
