CABANATUAN CITY — A female nurse fell prey to suspected “Basag Kotse” gang members who ransacked her vehicle while it was parked in front of a Korean restaurant here Monday night.
Police chief Lt. Col. Barnard Danie V. Dasugo said victim Kathrina Dela Cruz, 23, single, of #74 Purok 5, Bgy. Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija told police that the heist was pulled off when she parked to eat at the SoonSu Samgyupsal Korean Restaurant along M. De Leon Avenue, in Bgy. Kapitan Pepe Subd. Phase 2 at 6 p.m.
Stolen by the robbers from her Toyota Corolla Cross sedan (CBK-3076) was her black backpack containing her OPPO A7 mobile phone, PPE gown suit, Charles and Keith wallet that contains her PRC ID, UMID ID, ATM Landbank, house key card and cash totaling P11,000.
Investigation showed the victim left the restaurant at 7 p.m. and soon discovered that her car had been burglarized with its left passenger window shattered.
Police said two unidentified suspects men riding a white Yamaha NMAX motorcycle were seen fleeing the area shortly after the robbery.
Dasugo said they are conducting a follow-up investigation to identify and arrest the two suspects.
